Oh Happy Bake is a German family bakery working out of a commercial kitchen in Nanaimo. Brigitte started baking to order in 2013 with the recipes she grew up with, and her daughter Helga now runs most of the day to day. Everything is still made from scratch, in small batches, to order.
You may already know them from Nanaimo Christmas Village, and this December they're bringing that same baking to Island Winter Market. Expect Stollen, Lebkuchen, Linzer cookies, and more across the weekend, with gluten-free and plant-based options sitting on the table alongside everything else rather than tucked away at the end.
